Center for Climate Change is a non-profit, independent organization, which operates since 2008. The activities of the Centre are aimed at environmental protection, mitigation of climate change, sustainable energy and proper waste management. Since 2009 the Center for Climate Change is a local partner of the Norwegian company Norsk Energi, which together implement its project activities in Macedonia.

In addition, the Center has various different technical expertise that provides services related to environment, energy efficiency, waste management, industrial pollution, preparation of reports and studies on environmental programs for waste management, energy efficiency programs, and many more services related to environmental legislation

02.12.2014: Organized Roundtable for "Study for hazardous waste" (first phase)

1st of December 2014 at the premises of Economic Chamber of Commerce was held Round Table Discussion for presentation of the Study for hazardous waste (first phase), where beneficiary is Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, and the study is developed within the project “Integrated pollution and prevention control”, implemented by Center for Climate – Change and Norsk Energi – Oslo. 13.03.2014: Training for energy management in the food industry in Macedonia

Maintenance period (April-June year 2014).
Center for Climate Change within the project "Improvement of energy management in Macedonian industry", organized a three-day free training for companies from the Macedonian food industry. The training aims to improve the capacity of the employees responsible for energy management and production process and also to improve the energy and environmental performance of companies. 06.03.2014: Organized informational seminar on energy management at industry

On 13th of March 2014, at Economic Chamber of Commerce, in the frame of the project “Improving Energy Management at Macedonian Industry” was held the Informational Seminar on Energy Management. 30.01.2014: The Project "Improving energy management at Macedonian Industry" has started with implementation

On Thursday, 30 of January, project “Improving Energy Management at Macedonian Industry” funded by Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade officially started with implementation and will be implemented until December 2014. The project is implemented by Center for Climate Change-Skopje, supported by Energy Agency of Republic of Macedonia, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje and Economic Chamber of Commerce under technical supervision of Norwegian company Norsk Energi. 28.01.2014: Officially opening of the project "Improving energy management in Macedonian industry"

On Thursday 30th of January 2014 Center on Climate Change is organizing the official opening of the project "Improving energy management at Macedonian industry." 10.12.2013: "Center for climate change Skopje in cooperation with Norsk Energi started a new three year project on 010.012014 entitled “Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control in Macedonia”, financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Main objective of the project is providing technical assistance for proposing alterations aimed at strengthening of IPPC/IED regulations and framework, increase competence of case handling skills within the IPPC unit, increase sectoral knowledge and competance within the NGO sector and local industry. Within the frame of this project Study for treatment and disposal of hazardous waste in Macedonia will be prepared." Read More

10.12.2013: Center for Climate Change signed a contract with the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade for the implementation of the project " Improving the energy management industry in Macedonia."

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of Macedonian industry to better manage and reduce energy costs in the manufacturing process , and will provide a training course for interested companies for a period of 3 months. Read More

25.11.2013: Center for Climate Change is preparing for its new project for improving energy management at Macedonian industry.

The project is expected to start on the beginning of December, but official start will be announced on the web site. The project is going to last one year, focusing on implementing energy management practices at food processing industry, aiming at reducing energy consumption and improving their management capacities. 22.11.2013: Promoted Report on climate change impact on cultural heritage.

Connecting global climate change with archeological and historical structures was challenge not only for our country but also for the wider region, because there are no previous studies that are assessing the climate change impact on cultural heritage, said Deputy Minister for Environment, Mr. Stevo Temelkovski, on the welcome speech for the Promotion of the report on climate change impact on cultural heritage that was held at Museum of City of Skopje.
